Grants for Physical Therapy Program -
If you are low income living in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, or San Mateo counties, you may be eligible for funding of your child's physical therapy.  A generous foundation has helped a few children obtain much needed treatment here at MD.  Please call or email us to find out application process.  
NEW PRESCHOOL NOW ENROLLING -

High Five Preschool is a new educational program at Movement Discoveries.   The school is now enrolling for Summer 2009 Preschool Camp and for the 2009-2010 school year.   The general program is 3 hours per day/4 days per week.  Open to kids age 3-5 years old.  All abilities welcome.   Small class size, individualized attention.  HIghly qualified and experienced teachers.  School's website is:  www.highfivepreschool.com.  To leave a message call: 650-652-1707

Aquatic Program Volunteers Needed -
Learn therapy techniques in the water under the guidance of a Physical Therapist when working with children with disabilities.  If you are a PT/PTA, Kinesiology, Fitness students needing volunteer hours to fulfill academic requirements, here's a great educational and rewarding experience - call us for details.

Movement Discoveries is a pediatric therapy center that offers traditional and specialized therapies for children.

Our mission is to help children with special needs maximize their potential by providing effective therapy programs that increase independence, develop and enhance functional skills, and accelerate progress.

We are Northern California’s first and leading  provider of intensive physical therapy program for children with Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Developmental Delays, Spinal Cord Injuries, Genetic Disorders, Coordination and Balance Disorders and Orthopedic Conditions.

  

We also offer physical therapy services in the management of conditions such as torticollis, scoliosis, pre- and post- surgical interventions such as Botox, osteotomy, tendon lengthening, spinal fusion, and selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR).

We have been providing pediatric therapy services in the San Francisco Bay Area for over five years and our services have expanded to now include Aquatic Therapy, Infant Early Intervention, and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT).
